 Ice Show Bridges Generations

On January 4th, for the first time, 29 residents of The Watermark at 3030 Park met face to face with their 29 pen pals from Curiale Elementary School in Bridgeport when they accompanied each other to Disney on Ice at Harbor Yard Arena. From their smiles, it was difficult to tell which generation was having more fun. After the 10:30 a.m. show, the children were given the opportunity to ice skate with the Disney characters, as their senior counterparts looked on.
According to Marlane Argianas, a community life assistant with The Watermark at 3030 Park, residents of the active retirement community enjoy corresponding with the fourth grade students throughout the school year. Before the year is over, it is traditional for The Watermark at 3030 Park to host a party for the students at their community with a special luncheon and a magic show.
The Watermark at 3030 Park, which is home to some 200 active seniors, is located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Fairfield town line.  The Watermark offers maintenance-free living with a wide variety of services plus activities, classes, workshops, clubs and discussion groups on site.
